My Litte Bump

Well, I'm always not careful enough.
This accident happened when I was happily enjoying the movie night with Michelle on Friday night. We had some alcohol (certainly, it's "Friday Night"). First, I have to swear that I wasn't drunk at all.
Anyway, just when I took a little break to the bathroom, finishing it, I hit myself with the bathroom door. What a idiot! Obviously I was so excited that I wanted to go back as fast as I could; however, my movement with the door wasn't quick enough to let my head to get thought. I hit right on the edge of it--"OUCH"!
So, here it is my little bump right beside my right eye. It was swollen and hurt a lot for the rest of Friday night, and all day yesterday.
Hopefully it won't leave any big scar on my face... what a stupid thing I am...

Feeling A Bit More Like Home

Michelle and I spent the entire Friday night being couch potatoes.
We watched I-Robot, casting the hottest guy we both love, Will Smith. Sipping down our drink little by little (she had beer and I had raspberry vodka with orange juice, and later with ginger ale), we exchanged some of the fun things we had in the past. Of course, we shared our thoughts regarding the types of guys each of us like--very girly talking. But I love it!
It seems that we are getting along well gradually. Having a such a cute, generous roommate is one of the greatest things in the world. No long feel too isolated in the place, I hope this house will be like home more and more.

Party at Austin

Finally, I made up my mind a week before the Labor Day weekend to go to Austin, Texas.
I have to admitted that it was the best decision I ever made for such a long time. Departing with a great anxiety, I was finally at the place I've been wanting to visit since 3 years ago. Can you believe that? 3 years!
It had also been a year since I saw Herm for the last time in Taiwan. He's still cute and hot, just like what I used to know about him. Herm's roommie, Par, was really cool as well. I just couldn't help loving them both.
It was a great weekend--a bit crazy, filled with drinking and party. The weather down there even reminds me of the weather back home--hot, which made the people there so friendly. Hanging with Herm's gang was extremely funny. I had soooooo much fun there!
No doubt, I'll go back again sometime soon. It is not because I don't like where I live now. It is just because Austin is a place full of love and joy!

Niagara Fall Trip

Just got back from Niagara Fall Today. That was a really fun trip and I had the most of fun since I came here. With Fen (a Taiwanese girl), and Claudia (a Mexican girl who's taking PHD in Chemistry), and the other bunches of international students, we handed the Fall on this very morning.
Niagara Fall is really famous for its boat trip, called "Maid of the Mist," which takes people to the spot that is sooooo closed the the waterfall to experienced to be showed under those huge tons of water. We did that. These little plastic raincoat provided by the state park could resist the power of thousands of water splash at all. The wind was really strong when we got really closed to the waterfall, and we were like those little halfings with blue cloaks on. Water came from everywhere along with the wind. Fortunately there were not too many people on our boat, so we were allowed to go to the front of the deck. It was a bit crazy but really fun!
Later I took the other route with an Indian friend called Raj. We decided to take a walk to "Cave of the Winds," which is a path that leads people to the bottom of the waterfall. The waterfall was only 2 meters far from the platform--of course, I was showered by the waterfall again.
Then, taking some of the walks around the river side, I relaxed all the nerves with the embrace of beautiful nature. That comforted every stirring souls on the earth.
Knowing friends better, and having fun together, I definitely enjoyed this final fun of my last day of the summer vacation.

An Encounter

It was a nice, but maybe not too smooth encounter. The silk-like buff body was a bit hard to handle at the first place. As time went by, I began to be able to stabilize the movement of this giant.
I had my first encounter with the new automobile of my family. My dad accompanied me to the gas station as my practice of driving. And I had to admit that it was really fun!

比較好笑的是當我要停車加油時,來不急轉彎到正確的位置,還得倒車一次再前進,才得以將車子擺放好。我想加油站的員工一定把這件事當成工作閒暇之餘的笑話了。
The funniest part among all was, when I was about to park the car at the right spot in order to fill in the gas, I couldn't make it first. I had to make it backward for a little to take a better turn.

The Real Parting

Riding on the train back to Kaohsiung, that was the first time when I really left the City, Taipei, behind. I've been back and forth between these two cities in four years, and haven't really thought about the parting ever.
Today, after the last night at the temporary apartment with Ben, I suddenly realized it's so closed to the end for my life in either Taipei or Kaohsiung. I won't be able to spend some nights out with my dear friends at bars. I won't receive calls from Ben about playing pool. There will not be time to discover some new dinning places with Thomas. So on and so on...
Everything that happened in the past is just like the reflection on the bubbles--so really, yet so fragile. I know they are really, but I'm not allowed to touch, grab, and not to mention to store them.
I understand quite well that nothing is unchanging. Or maybe it's because that most of time, I was not the one who was leaving. Mostly the environment stayed the same. Then, it's different and difficult this time. I'm the one who is going away...

Damn Typhoon HAITANG

Dame Typhoon Taitang had made me rescheduled my Visa appointment. And the shitty AIT didn't even have any backup schedule for those whose appointments got cancelled due to the typhoon. Now I have to wait until 26th, July. What a waste of time!
